Citroen Tyres in Park Royal

The right tyre for a Citroen depends on the model, the generation and the wheels fitted. A 2016 to 2024 C3 can be on anything from 185/65 R15 to 205/50 R17. Citroen tyre sizes by model

Sizes for 17 Citroen models and generations, cross-checked against tyre-maker and retailer fitment listings. One model often lists several sizes, one per wheel option. Fitment listings are a guide: the size on your own tyres, or on the placard in the door frame, is the one to match.

Citroen models at a glance

• C1: The 2014 to 2022 C1 uses 165/65 R14 on steel wheels or 165/60 R15 on alloys, and the load index differs between engines.
• C3 (2013-2016): The facelifted second-generation C3 is listed on 185/65 R15, 195/55 R16 and 205/45 R17, with the 17-inch size not listed for some lower-power petrols.
• C3 (2016-2024): The third-generation C3 is listed on sizes from 185/65 R15 to 205/50 R17, and 205/55 R16 comes in four different load ratings depending on engine.
• C3 / e-C3 (2024-): The current C3 and e-C3 use 205/55 R16 or 205/50 R17 for petrol, mild hybrid and electric versions.
• C3 Aircross (2017-2024): The first-generation C3 Aircross uses 195/65 R15, 195/60 R16, 205/60 R16 or 215/50 R17, and the 15-inch size is listed for lower-power engines only.
• C3 Aircross (2024-): The second-generation C3 Aircross uses 215/65 R16 or 215/60 R17, and 215/60 R17 is the only size Michelin lists for the electric e-C3 Aircross.
• C4 Cactus: The 2014 to 2020 C4 Cactus, including the 2018 hatchback facelift, uses 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16 or 205/50 R17.
• C4 (2010-2018): The second-generation C4 hatchback is listed on 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18, depending on engine and wheel.
• C4 / e-C4 / C4 X (2020-): The current C4, e-C4 and C4 X use 215/65 R16, 215/60 R17 or a tall, narrow 195/60 R18 on 18-inch wheels.
• C4 Picasso / SpaceTourer: The 2013 to 2022 C4 Picasso, Grand C4 Picasso and their SpaceTourer successors use 205/60 R16, 205/55 R17 or 225/45 R18, with the 18-inch size on larger engines only.
• C5 Aircross (2018-2025): The first-generation C5 Aircross is listed on sizes from 215/65 R17 to 225/50 R19, including a tall, narrow 205/55 R19.
• C5 Aircross (2025-): The second-generation C5 Aircross uses 225/60 R18 or 225/55 R19 on the mild hybrid petrol, and 235/55 R19 or 235/50 R20 on the plug-in hybrid and electric versions.
• C5 X: The C5 X from 2022 uses 215/65 R17 or a tall, narrow 205/55 R19 for petrol, mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.
• Berlingo (2008-2018): The second-generation Berlingo is listed on 195/65 R15, 205/65 R15 and 215/55 R16.
• Berlingo / e-Berlingo (2018-): The current Berlingo, Berlingo Van and e-Berlingo use sizes from 195/65 R15 to 215/60 R17 with car-type load indices, not commercial C tyres.
• Dispatch / SpaceTourer: The Dispatch and SpaceTourer from 2016 use 215/65 R16 or 215/60 R17, commercial rated on most versions, and the SpaceTourer people carrier also uses 225/55 R17.
• Relay: The Relay from 2014 runs commercial tyres in 215/70 R15C, 225/70 R15C, 215/75 R16C or 225/75 R16C, depending on version.

Tall, narrow tyres on the C4, C5 X and C5 Aircross

Several current Citroens are listed with tall, narrow tyres on their largest wheels rather than a wide, low-profile size. The C4, e-C4 and C4 X (2020 onwards) use 195/60 R18 on 18-inch wheels. The C5 X and the first-generation C5 Aircross use 205/55 R19 on 19-inch wheels.

If your car is on one of these sizes, replace like for like. Read the full size from the sidewall or the door-frame label and give it to us when you book, so we fit the size the car was built with.

Match the load index, not just the size

On several Citroen models the same tyre size is listed with a different load index depending on the engine. On the 2016 to 2024 C3, Michelin lists 205/55 R16 at 89V, 91H, 91V or 94V (extra load). On the first-generation C5 Aircross, 205/55 R19 is listed at 91V or 97V, and 225/55 R18 at 102V (extra load). The C3 Aircross (2017 to 2024) shows 205/60 R16 at either 84H or 92H.

The load index and speed rating are the numbers and letter after the size, such as 94V. Check the label in the driver's door frame for your car, and make sure the replacement has at least that load index and speed rating.

Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay: car or van tyres?

Citroen's vans don't all use the same type of tyre. The Berlingo from 2018, including the Berlingo Van and e-Berlingo, is listed with car-type load indices such as 215/65 R16 96H, not commercial tyres.

Most Dispatch and SpaceTourer versions (2016 onwards) and the Relay (2014 onwards) are listed with commercial (C-type) tyres carrying a dual load index, for example 215/65 R16 106/104T on the Dispatch and 225/75 R16 118/116R on the Relay. Michelin lists a single-index 98R on some Dispatch engines, and the SpaceTourer people carrier on 17-inch wheels uses a car-type 225/55 R17 98T. Give us the full size, including any C and the load index, from the door-frame label. We fit van tyres at our Park Royal garage.

Wheel alignment on a Citroen

If one edge of a tyre is wearing faster than the rest, or the steering pulls or sits off-centre, have the alignment checked before or when you fit new tyres. Otherwise the new ones will wear the same way. This matters most on larger sizes, such as 18 and 19-inch tyres on the C4, C5 X and C5 Aircross, and on vans that cover high mileage. We use Hunter equipment for four-wheel alignment, from £50.
