Tyre Fitting at Park Royal Tyre & Alignment Centre, Park Royal, London

New tyres fitted from £35, and that price covers the fitting, balancing, a new valve and disposal of the old tyre, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay. We stock premium, mid range and budget tyres, every one EU labelled for wet grip, fuel and noise, and most sizes go on the same day while you wait at our Park Royal workshop.

What is tyre fitting?

Tyre fitting is the process of removing the old cover from the wheel rim and mounting a new one without damaging either. The tyre carries a size, load index and speed rating moulded into the sidewall, and the replacement has to match what the manufacturer specified for your vehicle, or better. Fitting also means bedding the new tyre onto the rim seat so it seals properly, fitting the new valve that comes with the price, and setting the pressures your carmaker lists rather than the maximum figure moulded on the tyre. The wheel is then balanced, because a new tyre and rim assembly is never perfectly even and a few grams in the wrong place shows up as a tremor through the steering at speed. Every tyre we supply carries an EU label rating wet grip, rolling resistance and noise, so you can compare like for like.

How we carry out tyre fitting

You give us the registration or the size from the sidewall, we confirm the fitment and show you the premium, mid range and budget options at that size. Once you choose, the car goes up, the wheel comes off and the old tyre is broken off the rim on the machine. We check the rim seat for corrosion or kerb damage that would stop the new tyre sealing, mount the new cover, seat the beads with a burst of air and fit the new valve. The wheel then goes on the balancer, weights are added until it runs true, and it is torqued back onto the hub. Pressures are set and the old tyre goes for disposal.

Signs you need tyre fitting

  • Tread down to the 1.6mm legal limit
  • Wear bars level with the tread blocks
  • Cracking or perishing across the sidewall rubber
  • A bulge or blister in the sidewall
  • Cords or canvas showing through the tread
  • A wrong-size or mismatched tyre on one corner

What you get from tyre fitting

  • Premium, mid range and budget options at your size
  • EU labelled for wet grip, fuel and noise
  • Old tyre taken away and disposed of
  • Most sizes fitted the same day while you wait

Tyre fitting and West London driving

Tyres fitted to cars that live on the A40 Western Avenue and the A406 North Circular do a particular kind of work. Long stretches at speed heat the rubber, then the queue at Hanger Lane cools it again, and that cycle repeated twice a day ages a tyre faster than the mileage alone suggests. Add the Park Royal industrial estate, where vans run heavy over patched concrete, and shoulders scrub away long before the centre tread does. Choosing the right load rating and the right compound for that mix matters more here than it would on quieter roads.

Why choose Park Royal Tyre & Alignment Centre for tyre fitting

Anyone can push a tyre onto a rim. Doing it without marking the alloy, seating the beads evenly and balancing the assembly properly is what separates a fitting bay from a workshop that RAC and AA are willing to approve. We hold a wide spread of common car and van sizes, so the size you need is usually on the shelf rather than on order, and the £35 starting price already includes the balancing, the valve and taking the old tyre away.

Frequently asked questions

How much does tyre fitting cost in Park Royal?

New tyres start from £35 fully fitted at Park Royal Tyre and Alignment Centre, including fitting, balancing, a new valve and disposal of your old tyre. The final price depends on your vehicle and exactly what is needed. Call 020 3886 2355 or WhatsApp 07476 586 589 with your registration for a no-obligation price.

Do I need to book an appointment?

We recommend booking so we can have the right parts ready, but we also welcome walk-ins at Unit 4 Unimix House, Abbey Road, Park Royal, London, NW10 7TR, and we'll do our best to fit urgent jobs in the same day.

Are you an approved garage?

Yes. Park Royal Tyre and Alignment Centre is both an RAC Approved Garage and an AA Approved Garage, and that approval covers the tyre bay as much as the workshop. It means the tyres we sell are new, correctly rated for your vehicle and EU labelled, the price quoted at £35 upward is the price fitted, and the wheels go back on torqued rather than rattled up.

Which areas do you cover for tyre fitting?

Drivers bring cars to us for tyres from across West and North-West London: Park Royal, North Acton, Harlesden, Wembley, Ealing, Perivale, Greenford, Willesden and the W and NW postcodes around them. Because fitting is a while-you-wait job for most sizes, people tend to come from wherever their commute already passes, which is why we see so many cars off the A40 and Scrubs Lane. Walk in, or send the registration first.
