Two things worth doing yourself
- Check van tyre pressures weekly against the loaded figure on the door plate, not the unladen one. An underinflated loaded tyre flexes hard, hides slow punctures and fails at the worst possible moment mid-round.
- If your van does mostly short drops, halve the handbook oil interval rather than waiting for the light. Short, loaded runs age oil quickly, and it is the cheapest component you will ever replace.
