Sizes for 14 Vauxhall models and generations, cross-checked against tyre-maker and retailer fitment listings. One model often lists several sizes, one per wheel option. Fitment listings are a guide: the size on your own tyres, or on the placard in the door frame, is the one to match.

Vauxhall models at a glance

• Corsa E: The 2014 to 2019 Corsa was listed on sizes from 175/70 R14 on base steel wheels up to 215/40 R18 on the VXR, with 185/65 R15 and 195/55 R16 on most versions.
• Corsa F: The 2019 to 2023 Corsa uses 185/65 R15, 195/55 R16 or 205/45 R17, and the Corsa Electric runs its own pressures on the 16 and 17-inch sizes.
• Astra K: The 2015 to 2021 Astra hatchback and Sports Tourer share 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18, and the manual gives separate Comfort and ECO pressures.
• Astra L: The Astra from 2022 uses 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 or 225/40 R18, and the plug-in hybrid is listed on the 17 and 18-inch sizes only.
• Mokka X: The 2016 to 2019 Mokka X was listed on five sizes, from 205/70 R16 to 225/45 R19, for every engine.
• Mokka B: The Mokka from 2021 uses 215/65 R16, 215/60 R17 or 215/55 R18, and the Mokka Electric takes the same sizes.
• Crossland X / Crossland: The 2017 to 2024 Crossland uses 195/65 R15, 195/60 R16, 205/60 R16 or 215/50 R17, and the 15-inch size is listed for the lower-powered engines only.
• Grandland X / Grandland: The 2017 to 2024 Grandland runs 215/70 R16 up to 235/50 R19, and Vauxhall does not approve snow chains on the 235/50 R19 size.
• Insignia B: The 2017 to 2022 Insignia Grand Sport and Sports Tourer range from 215/60 R16 to 245/35 R20, and the 20-inch tyre is ZR-rated on the 2.0 turbo AWD.
• Vivaro B: The 2014 to 2019 Vivaro 1.6 CDTi runs commercial 205/65 R16C, 215/65 R16C or 215/60 R17C tyres.
• Vivaro C: The Vivaro from 2019, including the Vivaro Electric, uses 215/65 R16C, 215/60 R17 or 225/55 R17, and its tyre deflation detection needs resetting after a tyre or pressure change.
• Combo Cargo E: The Combo Cargo from 2018 uses 195/65 R16, 205/60 R16 or 215/65 R16, and the size and load index depend on whether it is the 650 kg or 1000 kg payload version.
• Combo Life E: The passenger Combo Life from 2018 is listed on 195/65 R16, 205/60 R16 and 205/60 R17.
• Movano B: The 2010 to 2021 Movano runs commercial 16-inch tyres whose size depends on drive layout and weight, from 215/65 R16C to 195/75 R16C on twin rear wheels.

Check which tyre pressure warning system your Vauxhall has

Vauxhall uses two different systems, and they need different care when tyres are changed.

Sensor-based TPMS (older, GM-era models such as the Astra K). Each wheel has a pressure sensor built into the valve. Vauxhall's owner's manual says the sensors must be removed and serviced every time the tyres are replaced. On screwed sensors, the valve core and sealing ring are replaced. On clipped sensors, the whole valve stem is replaced. After a new sensor is fitted or the wheels are swapped round, the sensors have to be relearned to their positions in a set order: left front, right front, right rear, left rear. A wheel without a sensor, such as a spare, will keep the warning light on.

Deflation detection (newer, Stellantis-era models such as the Corsa F, Grandland X and Vivaro C). This system warns of low pressure by comparing the rotation speed (rolling circumference) of each of the four wheels with stored reference values. Vauxhall says it must be reinitialised after tyre pressures are adjusted or a wheel is changed, so the new tyres become the reference.

Getting the right Vauxhall tyre and pressure

Many Vauxhall models were sold on several wheel sizes, so a model name alone isn't enough to choose a tyre. The Mokka X, for example, was listed on everything from 205/70 R16 to 225/45 R19. Read the size from a tyre you already have, or from the label in the door frame. That label shows the tyres the car was built with and the pressures to run.

Vauxhall manuals for models such as the Corsa E and Astra K give separate Comfort and ECO pressures, plus a higher full-load figure for the same tyre. The correct pressure depends on the engine, tyre size and load. Pressures for the Corsa Electric are different from those for the petrol and diesel Corsa F on the same size of tyre. For the Grandland X, Vauxhall tells owners to check the Certificate of Conformity or registration documents for the tyres approved for their exact car, because the manual lists every possible combination.

Vivaro, Combo Cargo and Movano vans run commercial (C-marked) tyres, and the right pressure depends on payload or gross vehicle weight. On the Movano B, even the size changes with drive layout and weight, from 215/65 R16C on lighter front-wheel-drive vans to 195/75 R16C on twin rear wheels. Wheel alignment on a Vauxhall

Wide, low-profile tyres like the 225/40 R18 on the Astra, 235/50 R19 on the Grandland or 245/35 R20 on the Insignia cost more to replace, so it pays to make sure the wheels are pointing the right way before new ones go on. If one edge is wearing faster than the rest, or the steering pulls or sits off-centre, have the alignment checked before or when you fit new tyres. Otherwise the new ones will wear the same way.
